Job Summary

This is a key position in the real estate closing process as the closer is represented as the face of the company and is responsible for meeting with clients, explaining all the closing documents, including the lender’s documents as well as title documents, making sure they sign all necessary papers and notarize said papers where applicable. It is important that the closer ensures everyone leaves the closing table with an understanding of everything that has been signed and what is expected of them.  The closer essentially completes the real estate transaction and disburses the monies involved.


Duties

  • Maintain relationships with clients

  • Review purchase agreements and retain pertinent information

  • Read and review title work

  • Explain title documents to agents/clients

  • Explain lender documents to agents/clients

  • Make and receive phone calls in a professional manner

  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is signed and notarized

  • Scan all signed closing documents into applicable folders in Softpro

  • Ensure all closing instruction are followed as stated in the lenders closing package

  • Package out the closing documents to pertinent parties

  • Cut and disburse all closing funds

  • Comply with company policies and procedures regarding, software, industry standards, compliance, security, underwriter requirements, client requirements, and HR policies.

  • Promote professionalism and maintain customer confidence.

  • Fully assess any situation before acting.


  • Possess Closers License, Insurance Producer License, and Notary Commission.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the real estate closing process and real estate industry.

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs; knowledge of SoftPro Select.

  • Computer skills including working knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing and database software packages, internet applications and/or company specific computer applications.

  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize unrelated projects, duties, and tasks.

  • Have an overall knowledge of the real estate closing process.

  • Must not actively sell real estate or collect any commissions or referral fees and recruiting fees or profit sharing fees after Liberty employment.

Other Duties & Requirements


  • This job operates in a clerical office setting.  The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier/scanner and filing systems.

  • The job requires local and some out of state travel, travel between offices, client visits, attending events, and networking opportunities.

Work Environment


  • This is largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required.  This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Physical Demands


  • This is a full time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, times may arise when hours outside of this block of time is needed.

Expected Hours of Work


  • Driving and regional travel required.

  • Out of state travel as required by Company.

Travel


  • Minimum of 5 years of title and closing experience.

  • High school diploma.  Desirable to have Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related field.
